Can Wealth Be Measured In Time?

You’ve no doubt heard the old adage, “time is money”. Well that got me thinking!
I value every minute of my time and I spend most of it on my business, so if something takes me away from it, then theoretically I’m not being paid.
However, I believe there is an exception to this rule. How much does it cost to spend “time” with your family or friends? This is time you’ll never get back. I thought about this today as I was looking after my delightful 15 month old granddaughter.
She takes up a whole lot of time, but I wouldn’t trade it for any amount of money.
Do I care if I don’t get a blog post written today?
Do I care if I don’t do the research I had teed up to do today?
Do I care if my eBook doesn’t get started today?
Do I care if I don’t list any items to sell on eBay today?
I could go on and on about the things I was going to achieve today, but does it really matter? It will all still be there tomorrow. So today I get to play with this beautiful little girl, and believe me, she is a delight to have around.
My “time” with her being this little is so short and I can’t get it back so I’m taking every opportunity I can to spend it with her.
Take some “time” out of your day to spend it with a loved one because it will be gone before you know it!
