Affiliates Help Drive Your Sales

As a product owner you should always be looking for different ways to promote your product.

What tools can you give to your affiliates which will help them to market your product better than anyone elses?

If you give them the very best content and tools to work with, they will go out of their way to promote your product. If they are successful with your product then they will be more likely to promote any future products you have. So if you want them to bring in a huge amount of sales, you have to give them the best chance by giving them everything they need.

So what tools should you give to your affiliates? It depends on the product but the two most common are emails and banner ads.

For an email to work you have to be able to attract the customer so that he can’t resist buying the product. You can write the email yourself or outsource it to somewhere like eLance.com, where the price per email is very reasonable. Whichever way you go don’t forget to add your affiliate links in several places.

Banner ads are not as popular as they used to be, however they do still work. If you can create a banner that flashes different messages then it is more likely to be clicked on. The beauty of a banner is that the affiliate code is embedded in the banner and the customer is taken directly to the sales page.

You can create your own banners from your logo or once again you can outsource to places like BannersMall.com There are also many other places you can have banners made.

To help your affiliates further you can also create articles, email signatures and ezine ads.

It doesn’t matter which tool you choose, as long as you are helping your affiliates make the sales which in turn help you.

Your Thoughts Control Your Actions

The Law of Attraction works in mysterious ways.

It works just as easily on your negative thoughts as it does on your positive ones. This is why you have to monitor your thoughts and not put out any negative vibes.

If you look at the success of some of our top athletes you will find that every waking moment is spent focused on winning. They use visualization to show them the steps to get there. I can’t imagine any of them thinking that they’re not going to win, but come in second place!

I was watching the high jump at the recent Olympic Games in China, and each participant was rehearsing in their mind how they were going to jump over that bar. It was interesting watching their hand movements and the constant talking to themselves. This is a sign of a great athlete who puts their heart and soul into winning.

Those of us who are not athletes, but have a burning desire to win, can learn lessons from the preparations the athletes make. I believe that winning is at least 95% mental preparation and 5% action.

If you have a goal that you want to achieve, don’t bog yourself down with negative thoughts. Use your gift of visualization and see yourself already in possession of your goal. You’re the only one who can make it happen.

Don’t Hope….DECIDE!

"Though I am grateful for the blessings of wealth, it hasn’t changed who I am. My feet are still on the ground. I’m just wearing better shoes". Oprah Winfrey.

Don’t we all go through phases in our lives when we want nothing other than to be wealthy? We don’t want our financial burdens weighing us down anymore.

We can go through with our lives "hoping" that some day we’ll make it and be financially independent for the rest of our lives. But hoping doesn’t get you anywhere until you "decide" you will be wealthy. Once you’ve made your decision, there’s a shift in your consciousness which will awaken your thoughts and ideas as to how you’re going to achieve your wealth. You’ll start attracting people into your life who will help you on your path to success.

Yes, you will have times where you feel you’ll never make it, but it’s at that point you must show perseverance.
"Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up". Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931)

Do you think Thomas Edison was just "hoping" he’d invent the first commercially practical incandescent light? I don’t think so. He’d made a decision that he was going to succeed and he never gave up, even though it’s claimed he had over 1,000 failures.

The difference between hoping and deciding is immense. It’s only when you decide to do something that action is taken and success is achieved.

Success Comes Naturally To Some

I was watching a story on TV the other day about Tiger Woods. Apparently he was shooting a commercial but in between breaks he was fiddling with a Rubik’s cube. He placed it on the ground, hit it, and it landed right in the hole! He was just as shocked as everyone else!

Tiger Woods is a person who oozes with success. It’s as if everything he does will be successful. There’s others out there like him as well.

A good friend of mine, Nik Halik, can also be classed as a person who seems to attract success with everything he does. He started setting goals when he was a young boy and he’s almost achieved everything he wrote down and is known as the "Thrillionaire", however, success doesn’t happen without effort. To be successful at anything you have to be prepared to put in the time and have a "never give up" attitude.

"Passion for life and for our work is a critical element of success and abundance.
Passion is a virtually unstoppable, attitudinal force that generates energy, creativity and productivity.
When you love what you do, it’s difficult not to succeed"
Richard Carlson.

If someone like Nik Halik can come from very humble beginnings and end up being a "Thrillionaire", then it shows that anyone can achieve success. It’s all in your attitude.

Overcome Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Is your mental health preventing you from achieving your dreams and aspirations?

I used to suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks, and they did stop me from doing a whole lot of things. All I could think about was my fear! It was so bad that I became Agoraphobic and was too scared to leave my house. I couldn’t even walk to my letter box without having an attack. It was no way to live.

If you’ve never experienced a panic attack before then check the list below to see if you suffer from any or all of these symptoms.

  • Tightness in throat and chest- shortness of breath
  • Feel as though your heart is racing and will jump out of your chest
  • Hot flushes all over your body followed by waves of anxiety
  • Feelings of fear and negative thoughts
  • Not feeling connected to what is going on around you
  • Overwhelming fear that the anxiety will push you over the edge

The first time a person experiences a panic attack it can feel like their world is falling down around them. Nowhere feels safe as the anxiety becomes like a stalker lurking in the background.

When this happens people begin to either avoid situations that make them anxious or they medicate themselves to the point where they are numb to the fear. I am sure you will agree neither of the above is a satisfactory solution.

There are new ways to treat this disorder and I have tried quite a few. Some successful and some not. I have found that the only way to overcome the anxiety and panic attacks is to use a technique which immediately stops you fearing another panic attack. It is very simple yet amazingly effective, without the use of medication.

Aim For Success

It shouldn’t be too hard, should it? All it takes is the motivation to get out and do something to achieve it.

"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!"
Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)

In other words don’t waste your time. We only have such a short time on earth to achieve the goals we’ve set ourselves and to achieve success you have to be willing to put in the effort.

Millions of "dreamers" from all over the world go out every week and purchase lotto or lottery tickets, hoping that their name will be the lucky one drawn out to win a fortune. What they don’t understand is that the real joy comes not from being handed money on a "silver platter", but from their own sweat and tears and earning it themselves.

You must believe in the power of your mind and your ability to achieve success. Keep in mind though that the rewards which you receive in life, material or psychic, will not come to you because of your potential, but rather through your performance.

Our lives are governed by the images in our mind, and therefore it is necessary to build images which will result in the greatest success. Once your image is established in your mind, it’s time to turn it over to the power within you so that your image will begin to materialize in your physical world. Now that’s success!

Creating Future Entrepreneurs

I was reading a story from my local newspaper today about a 31 year old woman, a real entrepreneur, who took the risk of going into business to teach different types of dance to students.

This had been a goal since she started dancing lessons as a child, and her dream had always been to have her own dance studio. Well she did it and now has a very successful business.

It made me think of all the obstacles she would have faced before getting to where she is now. She would have to face the following challenges:

  • Finding a studio in the right location
  • Finding a studio with reasonable rent
  • Finding a real estate agent who would be willing to rent out premises to someone with no prior financial history in real estate
  • Possibly going to financial institutions to ask for a loan to fit out her studio
  • Having enough money to advertise her studio and what she had to offer by the way of classes
  • Being able to pay dance teachers
  • Attracting enough students to pay all her bills and in due time, make a profit

It seems to me that you would have to be very persistent and patient to realize your dream of becoming an entrepreneur, but a lot of people do it and have become very successful.

There’s a risk, of course, that it will not turn out as you had hoped, but if you don’t step out of your "comfort zone" and be willing to do something that no one else will, then you’ll stay the same as you are and fit in with the majority of the population.

We need more entrepreneurs to step out and show that they are willing to put everything on the line to succeed at their chosen profession and in doing so, leading the way for more people to follow in their footsteps.

The Road To Success In Marriage

The road to success can be can be very rocky no matter what area of your life you wish to succeed.

Lily Tomlin (the actress) once said: "In Hollywood a marriage is a success if it outlasts milk!"

Isn’t that the truth? We all say or think the same thing whenever there’s an announcement of a Hollywood marriage, and that is "how long will it last?" We don’t expect their marriages to go the distance.

Why do we think like that? The answer I think is that because actors live in such artificial surroundings, they cannot cope with reality. Their working life is a fantasy and when they step out and do something "normal" they just can’t cope.

I’ve heard some of them say that it’s because they both work in the same industry and they often work away from home for a few months at a time. To me that sounds like such a lame excuse. I know of couples who both work in the armed services and can be separated from each other for up to 6 months at a time, and they pick up their relationship from where they left off.

The only reason you don’t succeed in a relationship is because you haven’t created the picture in your mind of the person you want to be to attract the right person into your life.

The road to success in marriage begins with your thoughts, feelings and actions and if any one of them is out of alignment then you need to rectify it as soon as possible to keep the balance in your life.

"Marriage is really tough because you have to deal with feelings…and lawyers!" Richard Pryor (1940-2005)

Personal development leads to success and is an ongoing learning experience. Achieving success in your relationships and every aspect in your life can be obtained by furthering your education.

Mama Mia! ABBA Is The Best!

This may not sound very exciting to some people but to me it was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours.

My very good friend from school invited me to go to the movies with her to see "Mama Mia". Of course I accepted because I was such a huge fan of ABBA and to hear their music again filled me with nostalgia.

We didn’t just go to the normal theater to see it. We had seats for "Gold Class" which allowed us to watch the movie with about 20 other people, sitting in recliner chairs and having food and wine brought to us. If you haven’t tried "Gold Class" then it is a fantastic way to watch a movie.

Needless to say that we both thoroughly enjoyed the movie and what was great was that we knew all the words to the songs, so naturally we sang along. We weren’t the only ones either! I detected a few other dedicated ABBA fans in the audience.

Hearing the music once again transported me back to the mid 70’s and into the 80’s when ABBA absolutely ruled the airwaves. Their songs were always catchy and like I said earlier, we could sing along with them.

They may have faded from the scene in the 90’s, but with the release of the musical and now the movie "Mama Mia", a whole new generation is being introduced to their music. They definitely are legends of the music scene.

ABBA will always remind me of a time when I was bringing up my children, and their music helped soothe my soul when I was having a particularly rough day. Their music will live on and on, and hopefully the next generation will also learn to love their music.

Dress With Confidence

If you’re going for a job interview, before you leave your house, make sure you are dressing for a successful outcome.

Making a good first impression is the key to the interviewer wanting to know more about you. If you dress with confidence your self esteem will soar before you get in the door! If you turn up in old ragged clothes or clothes which haven’t been ironed, then your chances of securing the job are just about nil.

I remember years ago when I worked in a reputable bookshop with a handful of staff, a girl came in looking for a job, and it wasn’t so much her appearance which turned me off, it was the fact that she was carrying a dog! Do you think she really wanted the job? I don’t think so.

Even if you don’t have money to spend on a new outfit, there’s no excuse for turning up and looking shabby. Remember to dress with confidence! Make sure your clothes are neatly ironed and presentable, your shoes are clean and your hair is tidy. You’ll have more chance of securing a job if you take the time and effort to dress properly and show that you are confident of securing the position offered.

So, the next time you’re trying to impress a potential boss, remember to dress with confidence. It’s your best chance of being chosen for the position.
