Being Overweight Can Be Embarrassing!

If you need motivation to lose weight then read this story.
An overweight woman got stuck in the bath for five hours until she was freed by firemen.
Rosemarie Batey, 49, who weights 140kg, promised to lose weight after the embarrassing incident at her home in County Durham, England. She needed hospital treatment for cuts.
The grandmother of three was taking a midnight shower.
“There has been a crack in the bath since I moved in last year, so I only use the shower above it. But the crack had been getting bigger and bigger," Rosemarie told the Durham Evening Chronicle newspaper in the UK .
“I was standing under the shower and I had my left foot up to wash it when I heard a great big crack and away I went. I started falling and then slipped on all the shower cream. It all happened so quick, but I managed to turn the shower off as I fell.
“My legs went from underneath me. My back was wedged against the wall and I was stuck.”
Her 23-year-old son Stuart was asleep in bed and did not hear her cries for help until the morning, when he dialled emergency services.
Firefighters used an electronic saw to cut away the bath with Rosemarie holding a shower curtain to spare her blushes and to keep her warm.
“It’s been a wake-up call to get some beef off," she told the local newspaper.
That’s an understatement! If you’re having trouble losing weight and don’t like going to gyms, try the Fit Yummy Mummy Program you can do within the confines of your home.

Obesity Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions

I was in an airport over the weekend and the one thing I noticed above everything else, was how many overweight people there were.
It was almost like an epidemic and the biggest shock was how many obese kids there were. But, I have to say, it wasn’t very surprising when I saw these kids tucking into burgers, chips, milkshakes, chocolates and just about everything else that was bad for them. And, the parents were the ones buying the food and drink.
What is wrong with parents today that they let their kids get this way? They have to take responsibility and not blame advertising or the prevalance of junk food. It’s up to them to teach their kids about being healthy and getting enough exercise.
I have 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 16 years to 20 months, and not one of these kids is overweight. Their parents monitor what they eat and they also regulate their exercise. They have all the computer games like X-Box and Wii, but their time on the computer is strictly limited and they are encouraged to participate in outdoor activities.
When I was growing up we were more active as we didn’t have the luxury of computer games and we also didn’t have so much junk food available to us. Our parents were not as affluent as most people are these days, and couldn’t afford to buy junk food anyway. About once a month our treat was fish and chips, and we were happy because we didn’t know any better.
Just think of the medical costs in the years to come when dealing with obesity. It doesn’t just affect the obese person, it affects the whole of society and we’ll be the ones to pay for it in the future.
We have to start educating kids from an early age how to be fit and healthy so that future generations won’t end up facing the same health problems we have today.
Is Obesity Going To Take Over The World?

Why do really obese people go to the "all-you-can-eat" restaurants? Logic should tell them that it’s only going to add to the problem. The problem is that they’re passing their bad habits on to their children and their children’s children, so it becomes a merry-go-round. I’ve seen it in my own family with the children emulating what the parents eat and drink and consequently they’re all dangerously overweight. And they don’t care!
The cost to society in the future is going to be enormous as more and more adults and children will be afflicted by Diabetes and Heart Disease. And guess what? You and I as taxpayers will foot the bill!
"Now there are more overweight people in America than average-weight people. So overweight people are now average. Which means you’ve met your New Year’s resolution."
Jay Leno
US comedian & television host (1950 - )
The above comment by Jay Leno may be funny, but it’s not funny when you walk around the streets and see so many overweight adults and kids.
I saw a story on TV last week of a 16 year old boy who was so fat they had to get a special horse lifter from a vet’s surgery to get him into hospital. His obesity had put so much pressure on his lungs that he could hardly breathe. He lived at home and his mother took no responsibility for him being in that condition. To me, that’s child abuse.
We need to get junk food out of the schools and off TV so that future generations might have a fighting chance of staying healthy.

Our society today has a lot to answer for especially when we see so many overweight kids.
- 3 ingredients will instantly clean your pancreas from acids, and it’s possible to drastically slash your blood sugar levels in weeks, not months!
- Discover 5 critical ingredients for a healthy body at all times (99% of people don’t get enough of at least 3 of them… and it’s seriously damaging to the way your body removes waste, charges your immune system… and… produces insulin!
- One “space-age”, Nobel-prize winning ingredient that hardly anyone knows about… yet a small group of leading scientists and doctors can’t stop raving about because of its “immune system-boost”… and health-benefits for hormones like insulin.

Overweight and Unhappy? Lose Weight In 11 Days!
July 15, 2008 by Susan Denny
You are overweight for the most simple of reasons — because you’re eating the wrong foods, the wrong types of calories per meal, and you’re also eating meals in the wrong patterns each day.
What if I could show you a system of eating which was so different from anything else you’ve ever seen, that you’ll notice a change in your body in just 11 Days from Today? You may ask why you’re not losing weight even though you’re currently on a diet. Here’s the answer:
You cannot lose weight using Low Fat Diets. Low fat foods have been popular for more than 15 years, but yet our society is getting more overweight as each year passes. This fact alone should tell you that eating a purely low fat menu is not the answer to losing weight.
You won’t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body’s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight (low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt — known as a dieting plateau). You can never get slim by starving yourself.
You’ll probably find it extremely difficult to get slim using a Low Carb Dieting Plan. Low carb diets have recently become popular over the last couple years, but the problem with low carb menus is that they are too strict and TOO HARD TO FOLLOW for average people. Low carb menus tend to rob your body of too much energy (carbohydrates) and make it nearly impossible to remain on the program for very long. This is why so many dieters find it difficult to follow a strict low carbohydrate menu.
What about Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig Dieting Plans?
Weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers (and Jenny Craig) usually involve slower dieting progress over a longer period of time, since such programs generally promise only 2-3 pounds of weight loss per week. Also, programs such as Jenny Craig usually involve buying special meals and/or dietary supplements during the initial phases of the program.
Forget about your past dieting failures for a moment.
Just focus on one thought right now……….WHAT IF it was really possible to change your body in 11 days?
If you want to get NOTICEABLY THINNER IN THE MIRROR then you need MUCH MORE than just “positive thinking”. You need….
Your metabolism doesn’t know how much food you’ll eat tomorrow or the next day because those days have not happened yet.
Therefore, your metabolism always burns calories based on your eating habits during the past few days — because it assumes that you’ll continue to eat in the same general way.
Guess what? You’re about to shock your metabolism by doing something you’ve never tried before — you’re going to do the OPPOSITE of what it expects you to do. You’re going to NOT continue eating the same types of calories and meals for more than a couple days at a time, and you’re going to lose a lot of weight by doing this.
To make this work you need to SHIFT the types of calories eaten as shown in our diet, and if you do this then your metabolism will burn all of the calories eaten. Then, when it finishes burning those calories it will find the nearest available fat tissue on your body and burn that too…
Sounds too good to be true? Click HERE now to find out how you can easily become slimmer in just 11 days!
Setting A Goal To Lose Weight
June 18, 2008 by Susan Denny
Do you have the same problem as I do in that I have a few pounds I need to lose? My problem is that I like food too much!
I’m not a big eater but I guess I eat a bit more than I should and being in my 50’s it’s a lot harder to get the weight off. Being female doesn’t help either! Plus I hate going to a gym!
I’ve decided that the only way I’ll succeed is to set a goal that’s realistic for me to achieve. I’m not going to set unrealistic demands on myself as I know that won’t work, so I’ve decided to take it slowly so that I’m less likely to give up.
I’m doing this for medical reasons rather than being excessively overweight. In the past 6 months my cholesterol has risen slightly so my medication to control it had to be increased.
I don’t want to end up like my father and take numerous medications for a whole range of problems, so I need to do something about it now.
My goal will be worded so that I can achieve the amount of weight I need to lose, a completion date and then I’ll divide it into weekly targets.
I’ll give a progress report under the “Setting Goals” tab on a regular basis, so check back to see how I’m going.
