Don’t Hope….DECIDE!

"Though I am grateful for the blessings of wealth, it hasn’t changed who I am. My feet are still on the ground. I’m just wearing better shoes". Oprah Winfrey.

Don’t we all go through phases in our lives when we want nothing other than to be wealthy? We don’t want our financial burdens weighing us down anymore.

We can go through with our lives "hoping" that some day we’ll make it and be financially independent for the rest of our lives. But hoping doesn’t get you anywhere until you "decide" you will be wealthy. Once you’ve made your decision, there’s a shift in your consciousness which will awaken your thoughts and ideas as to how you’re going to achieve your wealth. You’ll start attracting people into your life who will help you on your path to success.

Yes, you will have times where you feel you’ll never make it, but it’s at that point you must show perseverance.
"Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up". Thomas A. Edison (1847 - 1931)

Do you think Thomas Edison was just "hoping" he’d invent the first commercially practical incandescent light? I don’t think so. He’d made a decision that he was going to succeed and he never gave up, even though it’s claimed he had over 1,000 failures.

The difference between hoping and deciding is immense. It’s only when you decide to do something that action is taken and success is achieved.

Faith Is A State of Mind

Napoleon Hill stated in his book "Think And Grow Rich",

"FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion.

Perhaps the meaning may be made clearer through the following explanation as to the way men sometimes become criminals. Stated in the words of a famous criminologist, "When men first come into contact with crime, they abhor it. If they remain in contact with crime for a time, they become accustomed to it, and endure it. If they remain in contact with it long enough, they finally embrace it, and become influenced by it."

This is the equivalent of saying that any impulse of thought which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is, finally, accepted and acted upon by the subconscious mind, which proceeds to translate that impulse into its physical equivalent, by the most practical procedure available".

If you believe in the above statement then you can relate it to the way your life has turned out and what you have attracted into it. In other words we become what we think about.

If you want abundance and prosperity in your life then you have to change your thinking so that it becomes a burning desire and you have faith that you WILL achieve it.

The only thing stopping you from achieving your goals is your thinking. Change your thoughts around so that you can receive the good that you desire. Remember that every great idea started with a single thought! Make yours count.

Discover The Power Within

We all have a subconscious mind which can be influenced by new thought patterns, and what we need to focus on is what we hope to achieve in our lifetime.

If our focus is on lack of money then that is exactly what we’ll get. We already have the mental tools necessary to create the scenario we want but sometimes we need to be shown how to use them.

Remove the lid to your mind in respect to how much you earn and understand that the wealth you are seeking is already there waiting for you. All you have to do is tap into it and discover the power within.

Start picturing yourself in possession of great wealth and then visualize how you’re going to spend it. Your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between you actually doing something or visualizing yourself doing it.

You cannot have something physically until you have it mentally. Once you achieve this then you are on your way to developing a prosperity consciousness.

You may think that this is all a game but what you don’t realise is that to discover the power within and to use it to it’s full potential, you are ultimately able to cause the idea to manifest into your life.

Bob Proctor from "The Secret" once said: "You were born rich, and your abundance is contained in THOUGHT. So be good to yourself, choose magnificent ideas, and cease permitting your physical world to control your thinking".

How I Achieved An “Unrealistic” Goal!

Have you ever heard the term "dream stealers"? I’m sure a lot of people have but aren’t sure what it means.

Whatever you do, if you have a goal you want to achieve, don’t share it with others, keep it to yourself. There are people out there who will do anything they can to steal your dream from you and tell you that "all that stuff is nonsense". The more people you tell the more they suck the energy right out of you.

The idea of a goal is to focus all your energy on it and to believe that you have already achieved it. A goal is not something you think about and sit waiting for it to happen.

A goal without a plan is just a wish. Antoine de Saint-Exupery
French writer (1900 - 1944)

For a goal to materialize you have to set out what you want and when you want it.

As an example I’ll tell you my story. My goal was shared with one other person and that was my husband!

We had lost our previous house through a bad business venture in 1990 and I was determined that some day I’d have my own home again. I started putting pictures of houses on my walls and I knew that my daughter was getting married in September 1995, so I set my goal to be in my new house by August 1995.

One Saturday afternoon my husband was working so I took a drive and came across some new blocks of land. I got talking to the salesman and he said I only needed $100 to secure a block. We had $3000 in the bank so I took the gamble and paid the deposit. My husband agreed to go along with it thankfully!

A couple of weeks later my husband was working again so I hopped in my car and started looking at display homes. I came across one I really liked and once again started chatting to the salesman who told me he could build us a house while we paid off the deposit, legal fees etc., so he came to talk to us that night and we signed up. It’s amazing how quickly things began to happen once we put up a picture board the means to attract the required deposit seemed to appear from many sources. This would not have occurred if we did not have a passionate goal.

To cut a long story short, we ended up moving into our brand new home on 4th August 1995 and all our fees etc. were paid for, and we also paid for our daughter’s wedding.

I knew that if I’d discussed my goal with anyone else they would have said I was crazy, especially when we only had $3000 to our name! But I knew with all my heart that we were going to achieve the goal no matter what stood in our way.

Stay away from the "dream stealers"!

Taking Steps To Achieving Success

Success is more than economic gains, titles, and degrees. Planning for success is about mapping out all the aspects of your life. To succeed you must do the following.

1. What Is Your Starting Point?

Every map has a starting point. Before you start your journey on the road to success, you first have to have some idea of how you’re getting there.

2. What Can You Do To Start?

It’s important that you know yourself so that you have a clearer idea of who you want to be, the things you want to change such as attitudes, habits, or points of view. If you hardly know yourself, then your vision and targets for the future will also be unclear. Your destination should cover all the aspects of your being: the physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.

3. Set A Goal

Without a goal you don’t even have a starting point. We all need a purpose in life and something to aim for, so set a goal that you know you will be very passionate about achieving.

4. Use Your Knowledge, Skills and Attitude

You bring with you certain knowledge, skills, and attitudes. These determine your competence and help you in attaining your vision. Given such, there is a need for you to assess what knowledge, skills, and attitudes you have at present and what you need to gain along the way.

5. Have A Realistic Timeline

In planning out your life, you also need to set a time for your goals to be realized. Start with goals you can easily obtain in a week, then a bigger one for a month and so on. Once you start seeing results you can aim for the bigger goals.

6. Be Prepared For Obstacles

The purpose of your life map is to minimize hasty and spur-of-the-moment decisions that can make you lose your way. But oftentimes our plans are modified along the way due to some inconveniences, delays, and other situations beyond our control. One thing you need to achieve success is persistence, so don’t give up, no matter what the challenge.

Are You The Next “Big and Rich” Entrepreneur?

I’ve often wondered what you’d have to do to become "big and rich", and my observation is that you either have to work very hard to get where you want to be, or be suddenly discovered as the next great model or actor.

People like Bill Gates, Donald Trump and Warren Buffet, didn’t become "big and rich" overnight. They had to work extremely hard and had to spend long hours honing their businesses. To them their business is their life and they put all their energies into making it successful.

Being discovered as the next top model on the other hand, doesn’t seem to take as much effort. If you’ve got the right look at the right time, then promoting yourself will be taken care of by the agency which signed you up. Spending a few days at a time on a photo shoot, or strutting your stuff on a catwalk, doesn’t even come close to the hard work put in by entrepreneurs.

If you are discovered as the next big actor, you spend a minimum of 2-3 months a year filming a movie, then once it’s completed you have the terrible task of going around the world to promote it! Many of us would like to think that we could be the next big movie star, but it takes talent and perseverance to make it.

If you want to be the next person to become "big and rich" don’t just sit around waiting for it to happen. Maybe you’ve got an idea for a great project but are fearful that it won’t work.

Are you willing to step out of your comfort zone and risk taking the chance that it may actually work? What if it does fail?

Napoleon Hill said, "Before success comes in any man’s life, he’s sure to meet with much temporary defeat and, perhaps some failures. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and the most logical thing to do is to quit. That’s exactly what the majority of men do".

Will you quit too or will you be the next "big and rich" entrepreneur?

Being Healthy, Wealthy and Happy!

Being a healthy functioning person can actually change the way you think, and can open up your mind to possibilities you’d never thought of previously. It can bring happiness you’ve never felt before, and bring abundance into your life. Once your mind is clear and you’re able think about what you really want, then your imagination takes over. "First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination".…Napoleon Hill, "Think and Grow Rich" We all need a plan of where we’re going and it all starts with a thought. You wouldn’t plan a road journey without a map, so why would you set out to achieve a goal without a plan in place. "Understand that "images" are mental pictures that are made from thoughts, and the magnificence of the mind lies in the fact that it can "think".  That is to say, it can tap into thought and create whatever image it chooses. Everything we do is preceded by an image. We think first in order to form an image, then we do the work"…Bob Proctor, "You Were Born Rich" Bob Proctor is my mentor and his writings are a result of many years researching the greatest philosophers of our time eg. Napoleon Hill, Dale Carnegie, Wallace D Wattles, to name a few. To find out more about Bob and his teachings, click HERE.
