Affiliates Help Drive Your Sales

As a product owner you should always be looking for different ways to promote your product.

What tools can you give to your affiliates which will help them to market your product better than anyone elses?

If you give them the very best content and tools to work with, they will go out of their way to promote your product. If they are successful with your product then they will be more likely to promote any future products you have. So if you want them to bring in a huge amount of sales, you have to give them the best chance by giving them everything they need.

So what tools should you give to your affiliates? It depends on the product but the two most common are emails and banner ads.

For an email to work you have to be able to attract the customer so that he can’t resist buying the product. You can write the email yourself or outsource it to somewhere like eLance.com, where the price per email is very reasonable. Whichever way you go don’t forget to add your affiliate links in several places.

Banner ads are not as popular as they used to be, however they do still work. If you can create a banner that flashes different messages then it is more likely to be clicked on. The beauty of a banner is that the affiliate code is embedded in the banner and the customer is taken directly to the sales page.

You can create your own banners from your logo or once again you can outsource to places like BannersMall.com There are also many other places you can have banners made.

To help your affiliates further you can also create articles, email signatures and ezine ads.

It doesn’t matter which tool you choose, as long as you are helping your affiliates make the sales which in turn help you.

Obesity Is Reaching Epidemic Proportions

I was in an airport over the weekend and the one thing I noticed above everything else, was how many overweight people there were.

It was almost like an epidemic and the biggest shock was how many obese kids there were. But, I have to say, it wasn’t very surprising when I saw these kids tucking into burgers, chips, milkshakes, chocolates and just about everything else that was bad for them. And, the parents were the ones buying the food and drink.

What is wrong with parents today that they let their kids get this way? They have to take responsibility and not blame advertising or the prevalance of junk food. It’s up to them to teach their kids about being healthy and getting enough exercise.

I have 6 grandchildren ranging in age from 16 years to 20 months, and not one of these kids is overweight. Their parents monitor what they eat and they also regulate their exercise. They have all the computer games like X-Box and Wii, but their time on the computer is strictly limited and they are encouraged to participate in outdoor activities.

When I was growing up we were more active as we didn’t have the luxury of computer games and we also didn’t have so much junk food available to us. Our parents were not as affluent as most people are these days, and couldn’t afford to buy junk food anyway. About once a month our treat was fish and chips, and we were happy because we didn’t know any better.

Just think of the medical costs in the years to come when dealing with obesity. It doesn’t just affect the obese person, it affects the whole of society and we’ll be the ones to pay for it in the future.

We have to start educating kids from an early age how to be fit and healthy so that future generations won’t end up facing the same health problems we have today.

How To Be A Good Leader

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don’t seem to be happening the way they’re supposed to be? You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. And in the daily hustle and bustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that - goals? Then maybe it’s time for you to stand up and do something about it.

Most people are content just to stand around listening for orders. And it isn’t unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader mentality. But maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen - to be the head, not the tail. Then maybe leadership just suits you fine.

Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it may be true that some people are born with natural talents. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, there can be no true development in leadership.

You must also remember that good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their natural skills. This takes a commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses.

First of all, let’s define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group.

Contrary to what most people believe, leadership is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader not a boss.

People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Remember that bumper sticker? The one that says, don’t follow me, I’m lost too? The same holds true for leadership. If you yourself do not know where you’re headed to, chances are people will not follow you at all.

You yourself must know the vision of the organization. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the bosses are, who to talk to, the organization’s goals and objectives, and how the organization works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing.

Being a leader is not about what you make others do. It’s about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what you’re subordinates must be.

Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this you can not be a good leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people.

Leaders are not do-it-all heroes. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone.

Remember being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight. Remember, also, that it is not about just you. It is about you and the people around you.

Success Comes Naturally To Some

I was watching a story on TV the other day about Tiger Woods. Apparently he was shooting a commercial but in between breaks he was fiddling with a Rubik’s cube. He placed it on the ground, hit it, and it landed right in the hole! He was just as shocked as everyone else!

Tiger Woods is a person who oozes with success. It’s as if everything he does will be successful. There’s others out there like him as well.

A good friend of mine, Nik Halik, can also be classed as a person who seems to attract success with everything he does. He started setting goals when he was a young boy and he’s almost achieved everything he wrote down and is known as the "Thrillionaire", however, success doesn’t happen without effort. To be successful at anything you have to be prepared to put in the time and have a "never give up" attitude.

"Passion for life and for our work is a critical element of success and abundance.
Passion is a virtually unstoppable, attitudinal force that generates energy, creativity and productivity.
When you love what you do, it’s difficult not to succeed"
Richard Carlson.

If someone like Nik Halik can come from very humble beginnings and end up being a "Thrillionaire", then it shows that anyone can achieve success. It’s all in your attitude.

Your Thoughts Can Predict Your Outcome

Have you ever really listened to what your thoughts are telling you, and how we are programmed to believe certain issues when it comes to health?

As an example, it’s almost Spring here in Australia, and already we are being bombarded with ads about Hayfever treatments. Because it’s coming up to Spring and there are flowers, pollens, dust mites etc. in the air, we are sure to suffer a bout of Hayfever, therefore we need to use medication now to prevent it!

Have you noticed that with each change of season, we are fed a list of the treatments we should use so that we don’t catch the latest "bug"? We are being brain washed to believe that we will suffer one way or another, from these viruses. I heard someone telling a Pharmacist one day, "I usually get 3 colds a year and so far I’ve only had 2, so I’m due for the third one around October".

He was talking himself into getting another cold before the year was out, and he’d even identified the month it was going to happen!
"Our best friends and our worst enemies are our thoughts. A thought can do us more good than a doctor or banker or faithful friend. It can also do us more harm than a brick!" Dr Frank Crane.

We attract everything into our lives whether it’s bad or good, with our thoughts. If you are constantly focusing on how unwell you feel, then guess what? You’ll get more of the same.

Wouldn’t it be better to turn those thoughts around to feeling alive and fantastic every day? You will feel so much better within yourself that your inner glow will show through and you’ll be a picture of health.

If someone asks you, "How do you feel?" answer them by saying that you feel great…even if you don’t. You’ll feel better just saying those words.

Don’t let your thoughts dictate a negative outcome. Always try to be positive no matter what the circumstances are.

Creating Future Entrepreneurs

I was reading a story from my local newspaper today about a 31 year old woman, a real entrepreneur, who took the risk of going into business to teach different types of dance to students.

This had been a goal since she started dancing lessons as a child, and her dream had always been to have her own dance studio. Well she did it and now has a very successful business.

It made me think of all the obstacles she would have faced before getting to where she is now. She would have to face the following challenges:

  • Finding a studio in the right location
  • Finding a studio with reasonable rent
  • Finding a real estate agent who would be willing to rent out premises to someone with no prior financial history in real estate
  • Possibly going to financial institutions to ask for a loan to fit out her studio
  • Having enough money to advertise her studio and what she had to offer by the way of classes
  • Being able to pay dance teachers
  • Attracting enough students to pay all her bills and in due time, make a profit

It seems to me that you would have to be very persistent and patient to realize your dream of becoming an entrepreneur, but a lot of people do it and have become very successful.

There’s a risk, of course, that it will not turn out as you had hoped, but if you don’t step out of your "comfort zone" and be willing to do something that no one else will, then you’ll stay the same as you are and fit in with the majority of the population.

We need more entrepreneurs to step out and show that they are willing to put everything on the line to succeed at their chosen profession and in doing so, leading the way for more people to follow in their footsteps.

How To Attract A Perfect Mate!

Have you ever wondered how we attract just one perfect person into our lives out of the billions of people in the world? Is it by accident?

I don’t think it is an accident and I believe that the "Law of Attraction" comes into play. You’ve probably heard the saying, "To attract a perfect mate, you have to be a perfect mate". How true that saying is. If you don’t love yourself and value everything you do and have, then how can you attract a like-minded person?

The human body is like a high powered electrical instrument sending vibrations out into the universe. Everything we do like see, hear, smell, taste and touch throws off a vibration, because our bodies are in a constant state of motion.

Have you noticed that when you meet someone new you either like them straight off or you don’t? The reason you don’t like them is because they’re sending off a negative vibration which does not resonate with your positive vibes. It’s fairly easy to pick up on a person filled with anger. You can usually feel the negativity surrounding them. This is the "Law of Attraction" at work.

Did you know that the perfect mate for you is already here? It’s up to you to get into harmony with that person. What do I mean? Have an image in your mind of what qualities you’d like your mate to have. Do you want someone who is romantic, thoughtful, attentive and respectful to you? You may also want someone who’s attractive, well groomed etc. I think you get the picture!

Napoleon Hill "Think And Grow Rich" said, "The best way to sell yourself to others is first to sell the others to yourself".

In other words reflect on the qualities that you have in order to convey those feelings to others in your search to find the perfect mate.

From Debt To Wealth

Most of us, at some stage of our life, get ourselves into debt and don’t know where to start to pay it off.

So how do we get from debt to wealth? There’s a few simple steps you can take before you can do anything about your current debt.

  • Do a spreadsheet showing every item you pay for either weekly, every 2 weeks or monthly, which includes everything, such as your mortgage, insurances, credit cards, utilities, groceries, car expenses etc.
  • Add up all the columns until you come up with a total
  • Divide the total by 52 (weeks in a year) which will then show how much you have to earn each week to pay off your debts
  • Take your net salary amount for the year and divide it by 52
  • Take your debts away from your salary and you’ll either have debt or be in surplus

If you’re in debit, don’t despair as there are things you can do to get from debt to wealth.

The first thing you must do is get in touch with your creditors, tell them your situation, and then work out a payment plan. You’ll find that they will co-operate with you if you are up front and honest with them, and pay the agreed regular repayments.

Don’t expect your debts to be paid off overnight, but if you stick to your plan you’ll be on the road from debt to wealth in no time.

Can You Really Expect An Abundance?

July 31, 2008 by Susan Denny

The answer is definitely "yes". Many people live their lives with that old adage, "I’ll believe it when I see it", firmly transfixed in their minds.

But the visionaries of yesteryear have always known that the overriding principle is, "I’ll see it when I believe it". What a difference it makes just by changing the wording. Everything we see in our physical world today, has been built largely by image-makers. Men and women who had self confidence and knew what they could do, and EXPECTED everything else to fall into place, regardless of what the critics had to say.

Think about the Wright Brothers. If they hadn’t had an image of an airplane in flight, and EXPECTED it to succeed, then we wouldn’t be flying all over the world today.

Thomas Edison invented the first light globe so that today we don’t have to spend our time feeling our way in the dark. He had an image in his mind, and even though he had many failures, he was persistent because he EXPECTED it to work.

There are three steps you can take to expect an abundance into your life.
1. Build the image in your mind
2. Turn it over to spirit, universe etc. Whatever you wish to call it.
3. Expect to receive it with all your heart and soul and that you will be rewarded for your faith

To expect an abundance, you have to get emotionally involved and that means taking the three steps above to achieve it.

Women Can Do Everything!

My main goal in life was to have a happy and healthy family, and I seem to have achieved it. However, whether you believe it or not, there is an imbalance between the sexes.

I was thinking about my two daughters the other day and how we as women have learned to multi-task without too much effort. I’ve watched both of them handle two to three tasks at a time.

I look at myself and what I used to do when my children were little. I’d be doing the washing holding a baby in my arms and kept a toddler out of mischief all at the same time! It was the same thing everyday and when I look back over those times I still don’t know how I managed with 4 kids under 6. I guess we just get in and do it and wait for our hubby’s to come home from work so that they can take over!

Even today I multi-task. I can read a book, watch TV and listen to the conversations going on around me, whereas my husband has a lot of trouble doing one thing at a time!

It’s been said that man is the superior being, but I totally disagree. I cannot imagine a man having to cope with the many situations that we have to deal with.

A woman’s lot in life is not an easy one and I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to change anything about my life. I’m loved and cherished by my husband and my ever expanding family, and that’s all that matters.
