Overcome Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Is your mental health preventing you from achieving your dreams and aspirations?

I used to suffer from severe anxiety and panic attacks, and they did stop me from doing a whole lot of things. All I could think about was my fear! It was so bad that I became Agoraphobic and was too scared to leave my house. I couldn’t even walk to my letter box without having an attack. It was no way to live.

If you’ve never experienced a panic attack before then check the list below to see if you suffer from any or all of these symptoms.

  • Tightness in throat and chest- shortness of breath
  • Feel as though your heart is racing and will jump out of your chest
  • Hot flushes all over your body followed by waves of anxiety
  • Feelings of fear and negative thoughts
  • Not feeling connected to what is going on around you
  • Overwhelming fear that the anxiety will push you over the edge

The first time a person experiences a panic attack it can feel like their world is falling down around them. Nowhere feels safe as the anxiety becomes like a stalker lurking in the background.

When this happens people begin to either avoid situations that make them anxious or they medicate themselves to the point where they are numb to the fear. I am sure you will agree neither of the above is a satisfactory solution.

There are new ways to treat this disorder and I have tried quite a few. Some successful and some not. I have found that the only way to overcome the anxiety and panic attacks is to use a technique which immediately stops you fearing another panic attack. It is very simple yet amazingly effective, without the use of medication.

Are You Hanging Out With The Right People?

To be a success at whatever you choose to do, you have to network with people who are going to support you rather than being a hinderance to your aspirations.

Two men were traveling together, when a Bear suddenly met them on their path. One of them climbed up quickly into a tree and concealed himself in the branches. The other, seeing that he must be attacked, fell flat on the ground, and when the Bear came up and felt him with his snout, and smelt him all over, he held his breath, and feigned the appearance of death as much as he could.

The Bear soon left him, for it is said he will not touch a dead body. When he was quite gone, the other Traveler descended from the tree, and jocularly inquired of his friend what it was the Bear had whispered in his ear. "He gave me this advice," his companion replied. "Never travel with a friend who deserts you at the approach of danger."

The moral of the story is hang out with influential people who will not put you in danger of losing sight of your goals. If you want to be financially free, why would you go to a broke financial planner for help?

To help you on the path to financial and spiritual success, you have to network with successful people. They can be excellent mentors for you to aspire to and will offer you encouragement to keep going when things don’t go exactly to plan.

Whatever you do, don’t forsake your family, even if they’re not on the same wavelength. Family can be a tremendous support even if they don’t understand what you’re doing. They’re there to love you and in most circumstances will not criticize or rebuke you for the path you’ve taken.

How Poor Are You?

One day a father and his rich family took his son to a trip to the country with the firm purpose to show him how poor people can be.
They spent a day and a night in the farm of a very poor family. When they got back from their trip the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"Very good Dad!"
"Did you see how poor people can be?" the father asked.
"Yeah!"
"And what did you learn?"
The son answered, "I saw that we have a dog at home, and they have four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of the garden, they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lamps in the garden, they have the stars. Our patio reaches to the front yard, they have a whole horizon." When the little boy was finishing, his father was speechless.
His son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are!"

Wealth really is a state of mind isn’t it? You can have all the riches you want but on the other hand you can be the poorest person in the world.

It’s a matter of how you think about the riches that are already a part of your life. You have to be grateful for what you have and appreciate any new riches you attract.

Wealth comes in many forms other than monetary, and it’s all in the way you think about it.

Aim For Success

It shouldn’t be too hard, should it? All it takes is the motivation to get out and do something to achieve it.

"Never again clutter your days or nights with so many menial and unimportant things that you have no time to accept a real challenge when it comes along. This applies to play as well as work. A day merely survived is no cause for celebration. You are not here to fritter away your precious hours when you have the ability to accomplish so much by making a slight change in your routine. No more busy work. No more hiding from success. Leave time, leave space, to grow. Now. Now! Not tomorrow!"
Og Mandino (1923 - 1996)

In other words don’t waste your time. We only have such a short time on earth to achieve the goals we’ve set ourselves and to achieve success you have to be willing to put in the effort.

Millions of "dreamers" from all over the world go out every week and purchase lotto or lottery tickets, hoping that their name will be the lucky one drawn out to win a fortune. What they don’t understand is that the real joy comes not from being handed money on a "silver platter", but from their own sweat and tears and earning it themselves.

You must believe in the power of your mind and your ability to achieve success. Keep in mind though that the rewards which you receive in life, material or psychic, will not come to you because of your potential, but rather through your performance.

Our lives are governed by the images in our mind, and therefore it is necessary to build images which will result in the greatest success. Once your image is established in your mind, it’s time to turn it over to the power within you so that your image will begin to materialize in your physical world. Now that’s success!

Faith Is A State of Mind

Napoleon Hill stated in his book "Think And Grow Rich",

"FAITH is a state of mind which may be induced, or created, by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious mind, through the principle of auto-suggestion.

Perhaps the meaning may be made clearer through the following explanation as to the way men sometimes become criminals. Stated in the words of a famous criminologist, "When men first come into contact with crime, they abhor it. If they remain in contact with crime for a time, they become accustomed to it, and endure it. If they remain in contact with it long enough, they finally embrace it, and become influenced by it."

This is the equivalent of saying that any impulse of thought which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is, finally, accepted and acted upon by the subconscious mind, which proceeds to translate that impulse into its physical equivalent, by the most practical procedure available".

If you believe in the above statement then you can relate it to the way your life has turned out and what you have attracted into it. In other words we become what we think about.

If you want abundance and prosperity in your life then you have to change your thinking so that it becomes a burning desire and you have faith that you WILL achieve it.

The only thing stopping you from achieving your goals is your thinking. Change your thoughts around so that you can receive the good that you desire. Remember that every great idea started with a single thought! Make yours count.

Your Thoughts Can Predict Your Outcome

Have you ever really listened to what your thoughts are telling you, and how we are programmed to believe certain issues when it comes to health?

As an example, it’s almost Spring here in Australia, and already we are being bombarded with ads about Hayfever treatments. Because it’s coming up to Spring and there are flowers, pollens, dust mites etc. in the air, we are sure to suffer a bout of Hayfever, therefore we need to use medication now to prevent it!

Have you noticed that with each change of season, we are fed a list of the treatments we should use so that we don’t catch the latest "bug"? We are being brain washed to believe that we will suffer one way or another, from these viruses. I heard someone telling a Pharmacist one day, "I usually get 3 colds a year and so far I’ve only had 2, so I’m due for the third one around October".

He was talking himself into getting another cold before the year was out, and he’d even identified the month it was going to happen!
"Our best friends and our worst enemies are our thoughts. A thought can do us more good than a doctor or banker or faithful friend. It can also do us more harm than a brick!" Dr Frank Crane.

We attract everything into our lives whether it’s bad or good, with our thoughts. If you are constantly focusing on how unwell you feel, then guess what? You’ll get more of the same.

Wouldn’t it be better to turn those thoughts around to feeling alive and fantastic every day? You will feel so much better within yourself that your inner glow will show through and you’ll be a picture of health.

If someone asks you, "How do you feel?" answer them by saying that you feel great…even if you don’t. You’ll feel better just saying those words.

Don’t let your thoughts dictate a negative outcome. Always try to be positive no matter what the circumstances are.

Creating Future Entrepreneurs

I was reading a story from my local newspaper today about a 31 year old woman, a real entrepreneur, who took the risk of going into business to teach different types of dance to students.

This had been a goal since she started dancing lessons as a child, and her dream had always been to have her own dance studio. Well she did it and now has a very successful business.

It made me think of all the obstacles she would have faced before getting to where she is now. She would have to face the following challenges:

  • Finding a studio in the right location
  • Finding a studio with reasonable rent
  • Finding a real estate agent who would be willing to rent out premises to someone with no prior financial history in real estate
  • Possibly going to financial institutions to ask for a loan to fit out her studio
  • Having enough money to advertise her studio and what she had to offer by the way of classes
  • Being able to pay dance teachers
  • Attracting enough students to pay all her bills and in due time, make a profit

It seems to me that you would have to be very persistent and patient to realize your dream of becoming an entrepreneur, but a lot of people do it and have become very successful.

There’s a risk, of course, that it will not turn out as you had hoped, but if you don’t step out of your "comfort zone" and be willing to do something that no one else will, then you’ll stay the same as you are and fit in with the majority of the population.

We need more entrepreneurs to step out and show that they are willing to put everything on the line to succeed at their chosen profession and in doing so, leading the way for more people to follow in their footsteps.

The Road To Success In Marriage

The road to success can be can be very rocky no matter what area of your life you wish to succeed.

Lily Tomlin (the actress) once said: "In Hollywood a marriage is a success if it outlasts milk!"

Isn’t that the truth? We all say or think the same thing whenever there’s an announcement of a Hollywood marriage, and that is "how long will it last?" We don’t expect their marriages to go the distance.

Why do we think like that? The answer I think is that because actors live in such artificial surroundings, they cannot cope with reality. Their working life is a fantasy and when they step out and do something "normal" they just can’t cope.

I’ve heard some of them say that it’s because they both work in the same industry and they often work away from home for a few months at a time. To me that sounds like such a lame excuse. I know of couples who both work in the armed services and can be separated from each other for up to 6 months at a time, and they pick up their relationship from where they left off.

The only reason you don’t succeed in a relationship is because you haven’t created the picture in your mind of the person you want to be to attract the right person into your life.

The road to success in marriage begins with your thoughts, feelings and actions and if any one of them is out of alignment then you need to rectify it as soon as possible to keep the balance in your life.

"Marriage is really tough because you have to deal with feelings…and lawyers!" Richard Pryor (1940-2005)

Personal development leads to success and is an ongoing learning experience. Achieving success in your relationships and every aspect in your life can be obtained by furthering your education.

How To Attract A Perfect Mate!

August 20, 2008 by Susan Denny

Have you ever wondered how we attract just one perfect person into our lives out of the billions of people in the world? Is it by accident?

I don’t think it is an accident and I believe that the "Law of Attraction" comes into play. You’ve probably heard the saying, "To attract a perfect mate, you have to be a perfect mate". How true that saying is. If you don’t love yourself and value everything you do and have, then how can you attract a like-minded person?

The human body is like a high powered electrical instrument sending vibrations out into the universe. Everything we do like see, hear, smell, taste and touch throws off a vibration, because our bodies are in a constant state of motion.

Have you noticed that when you meet someone new you either like them straight off or you don’t? The reason you don’t like them is because they’re sending off a negative vibration which does not resonate with your positive vibes. It’s fairly easy to pick up on a person filled with anger. You can usually feel the negativity surrounding them. This is the "Law of Attraction" at work.

Did you know that the perfect mate for you is already here? It’s up to you to get into harmony with that person. What do I mean? Have an image in your mind of what qualities you’d like your mate to have. Do you want someone who is romantic, thoughtful, attentive and respectful to you? You may also want someone who’s attractive, well groomed etc. I think you get the picture!

Napoleon Hill "Think And Grow Rich" said, "The best way to sell yourself to others is first to sell the others to yourself".

In other words reflect on the qualities that you have in order to convey those feelings to others in your search to find the perfect mate.

Healthy Meal Plan

Implementing a nutrition plan does not have to be tedious! The Fit Yummy Mummy System is all about making better choices and evaluating how you take care of yourself on a daily basis. Not only will these choices boost your metabolism, eliminate cravings, burn more fat and increase your energy dramatically, but you’ll also learn how to start living successfully, each and every day.

Energy is found in the food we eat. The amount of energy food has is measured in calories. Calories come from proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. Calories FUEL our body. Not only does your body need all three nutrients for growth, metabolism and other vital body functions, the quality of these nutrients contribute to satiety and the amount of calories that you burn.

Processed foods generally provide too many calories and too much sugar, rapidly increasing/decreasing blood sugar, resulting in hunger and fatigue. A healthy meal plan consists of whole natural foods, which pack more nutrients, are higher in fiber, and leave you feeling energized and satisfied and force the body to work harder to use them as energy. Thus you burn more calories, lose more fat.

There are 3 categories with a list of the most nutrient rich foods. The "quick start" action plan is to choose a serving from each of the 3 categories as you plan each meal. Make an effort to choose
fresh over frozen whenever possible. When in doubt go with the 2P’s: Protein and Produce. These 2 food categories alone are all you need to give you the most nutrients and lowest calories. Fill your plate with 1 part protein and 3 parts produce. Or you may use the "two-thirds, one-third rule" vegetables/fruits and whole grains should visually occupy about two-thirds of a 9-inch plate and a quality protein the remaining one-third. This is a small snapshot of a healthy meal plan.

The Fit Yummy Mummy Guide to Fast & Easy Meals is a bonus you receive when you purchase the Fit Yummy Mummy Program. The fastest way to lose weight and lead a healthy lifestyle in the comfort of your own home, is by implementing a healthy diet and exercise program. Click HERE to get started right now!
