Do You Have A Pedophile Living In Your Neighborhood?

June 30, 2008 by Susan Denny

I’m sure that many of us have asked ourselves that question, especially when you hear of suburbs being raided and a number of pedophiles have been arrested.

It’s only through the diligence of people living in our street that these criminals can be arrested and locked up for many years for their crimes against innocent children.

Nowadays, we have access to services which can help us determine whether or not the person we are suspicious of, is a threat to society. We can go to sites and look through Public Records to:

  • Conduct background checks
  • See if the person has a criminal record
  • See a directory of known pedophiles
  • Locate recently released sex offenders
  • Do checks on Child Care workers

We all want what’s best for our children, so having these resources made available to us, allows us to take care of our family and their well being.

What if I told you your next panic attack would only last a few seconds and that you would never have to experience another again?

Regardless of what you have been led to believe, acute anxiety and panic attacks can be cured in easy-to-follow steps, without any medication, using a revolutionary new technique.

Is Any Of This Familiar To You?

  • Finding yourself in the hospital’s ER because you thought you were having a heart attack only to be told later it was anxiety?
  • Fearing you might stop breathing because your chest feels tight and your breathing erratic?
  • Afraid to drive because the idea of getting stuck in traffic, on a bridge or at red lights scares you?
  • Continually nervous and afraid you might lose control or go insane?
  • Struggling daily with anxious thoughts that will not stop?
  • Feeling uncomfortable in enclosed spaces such as supermarkets, cinemas, public transport or even sitting at the hair dressers?
  • Nervous and on edge in normal situations that never bothered you before?

Do You Feel Any Of The Following Bodily Sensations?

  • Dizzy spells leading to panic
  • Tightness in throat and chest- shortness of breath
  • Racing heart with tingle sensations
  • Hot flushes followed by waves of anxiety
  • Obsessive worries and unwanted thoughts
  • Not feeling connected to what is going on around you
  • Overwhelming fear that the anxiety will push you over the edge

These and other similar uncomfortable sensations are all too common but the truth is you do not have to ever suffer from another panic attack or anxiety attack again.

The technique has been developed by Joe Barry, a former sufferer of all too frequent panic attacks and GAD. He developed a completely natural approach to eliminating 100% of general anxiety and panic attacks. This may seem very hard to believe for someone who may have had this condition for some time but the new information is now available to be free from anxiety, and he reveals the whole technique to you.

You will be amazed at how such a simple technique known as the “One Move Technique™”could be so powerful in restoring you back to your former care free self. I am not only talking about eliminating panic attacks but also getting your general anxiety level right back down to zero without the use of any medication or alternative therapies. This technique is based on advanced psychology made simple for everyone to apply.

It does not rely on outdated anxiety techniques such as ‘deep breathing’, positive affirmations, or distraction.

It takes seconds to implement wherever you are, -at home, at work or out socializing with friends.

This technique is not NLP or hypnosis. It is an advanced cognitive technique born from traditional psychology that everyone can apply regardless of how long the anxiety has been present.

You will no longer have to spend anymore money on expensive doctor or therapist visits.

You will not be asked to follow a time consuming 30 step program that will bring only minor improvements.

After reading this information you will be able to immediately have confidence to tackle any of the big stresses you may have been putting off e.g. driving, air travel, interviews etc.

Setting Big, Rich, Successful Goals

You may get the impression that I’m talking about achieving monetary and material goals, which I am, but there’s also personal goals too.

It’s great being able to bask in the glory of finally being out of debt, with more than enough money to spend, and being able to buy whatever you want. However, if you haven’t attained the personal goals you set for yourself, then you won’t feel as though you’ve gained anything.

Become the person you know you can be. Educate yourself and learn how you can improve your life, which in turn, helps those around you.

“Man, alone, has the power to transform his thoughts into physical reality; man, alone, can dream and make his dreams come true”… Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill’s book “Think And Grow Rich” set me on the path to developing myself and my abilities. It proved to me that I could do and have anything I wanted. I just needed to take “action”. As he shows in his book, your thoughts turn into feelings and your feelings turn into actions, if you allow it to happen.

Listen to your self-talk. Are you jeopardizing your chances of success, simply by the things you’re saying to yourself? With patience and practice you can change the thoughts in your head, which will set you on your journey to success.

As Sandy Forster says, in her powerful book, “How To Be Wildly Wealthy Fast” ,

  • What you focus on is what you create
  • As you think, so shall you be
  • Like attracts like
  • Change your thoughts, change your world
  • What you think about is what you create
  • You become what you think about all day long

Isn’t that fantastic! So if you want a life that’s big, rich and successful, start by changing the way you think, and you will receive all of life’s riches into your life.

Escaping From Peer Pressure

Wikipedia’s interpretation of peer pressureis: "Peer pressure is a term describing the pressure exerted by a peer group in encouraging a person to change their attitude, behavior and/or morals, to conform to, for example, the group’s actions, fashion sense, taste in music and television, or outlook on life". Our kids really do have a tough time when they’re teenagers. In a lot of cases they’re not being allowed to express their individuality because of the fear of being ridiculed by their peers. I left school over 40 years ago and nothing’s changed. There’s always been pressure to conform to the group, and if you don’t, then you’re left to feel like an island in the middle of the ocean. What can we as parents do about it? You can go to the school and talk to teachers about it, but realistically they haven’t got the time to sort it out and most likely they wouldn’t be able to anyway. This is something that the kids unfortunately, have to do for themselves. The best way I know is to build up your child’s self esteem so that they won’t even bother with the peer group. Being confident within themselves is the greatest barrier to hurt and intimidation by others. When my children were teenagers, they were all introduced to the world of "self development" with Bob Proctor, motivator and coach, which I believe has moulded them into the intelligent, confident adults they are today. I believe that Personal Development should be a subject on the school’s curriculum, starting from the first year of school. Just think what that would do for our kid’s futures! Jack Canfield

The very first seminar I ever went to was Jack Canfield’s “Self Esteem And Peak Performance” in 1989. My journey on the road to self improvement started there and I’m still learning!

Jack Canfield is an American motivational speaker and author. He is best known as the co-creator of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” book series. According to USA Today, Canfield and his writing partner, Mark Victor Hansen, were the top-selling authors in the United States in 1997.

Canfield is the founder of “Self Esteem Seminars” in Santa Barbara, and “The Foundation for Self Esteem” in Culver City, California. The stated mission of Self Esteem Seminars is to train entrepreneurs, educators, corporate leaders and employees to achieve their personal and professional goals. The focus of The Foundation for Self Esteem is to train social workers, welfare recipients and human resource professionals.

In 1990, he shared with Hansen his idea for the Chicken Soup for the Soul series. After three years, the two had compiled sixty-eight stories.

Canfield’s book, “The Success Principles” (2005), shares 64 principles that he claims can make people more successful. In 2006, he appeared in the DVD, “The Secret”, and shared his insights on the Law of Attraction and tips for achieving success in personal and professional life.

His newest book is “Key to Living the Law of Attraction” & Companion Gratitude Journal. This book is a simple ‘how to’ guide for using the Law of Attraction to create the life you desire. Within these pages, Canfield clearly explains not only what you need to know, but what you need to do in order to attract what you want in your life.

Jack Canfield has also collaborated with Bob Proctor, another contributor to “The Secret”, to run their successful coaching program “The Science of Getting Rich”. This is where Proctor and Canfield have distinguished themselves… they Understand… they Apply… and they are Masters at Transferring the Science of Getting Rich to others. They are two of the most powerful coaches in the world today.

So Called “Role Models” For Our Kids

June 24, 2008 by Susan Denny

How can we stop our kids from taking notice of what is being fed to them about the current crop of “starlets”, via the internet and in magazines?

Our young kids are being shown that it’s okay to be a drug addict, an alcoholic and have absolutely no moral values.

If the current stock of young starlets is anything to go by then I wouldn’t want any of my kids following their “example”.

There was a story yesterday about the singer Amy Winehouse, and that she may have Emphysema. Her abuse of smoking crack cocaine has seen her health take a dramatic downturn.

Then there are all the stories about Britney Spears, abusing alcohol, photographed not wearing underwear, losing custody of her children, a supposed suicide attempt and the list goes on.

Another “role model” is Paris Hilton. She’s the poor little rich girl who went to jail for drink driving and driving while her license was suspended. She’s also been involved with a sex tape.

Lindsay Lohan has also been arrested for offences related to alcohol and drugs, been to rehab and then does the same thing all over again. All of these girls have flaunted their sexuality in sexually explicit videos, which sends the wrong message to young, impressionable females.

There’s no way I’d call them role models. I’d say they were all spoilt brats who weren’t disciplined as children and now feel that they can do what they want and not worry about the consequences.

Let’s hope that the wider population of young sensible teenagers don’t try to follow their lead.

Napoleon Hill’s Guide To Setting Goals

June 23, 2008 by Susan Denny

“What the mind of man can conceive and believe, it can achieve”
Napoleon Hill.
He was born in 1883 and died in 1970.

His most famous work, Think and Grow Rich, was first published in 1937 and is one of the best-selling books of all time. In America, Hill stated in his writings, that people were free to believe what they wanted to believe. Hill’s works examined the power of personal beliefs, and the role they play in personal success. How achievement actually occurs, and a formula for it that puts success in reach for the average person, were the promise of Hill’s books.

The method by which DESIRE for riches can be transmuted into its financial equivalent, consists of six definite, practical steps:

First: Fix in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say “I want plenty of money.” Be definite as to the amount.

Second: Determine exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as “something for nothing.”)
Third: Establish a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.

Fourth: Create a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.

Fifth: Write out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.

Sixth: Read your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and once after arising in the morning.

AS YOU READ-SEE AND FEEL AND BELIEVE YOURSELF ALREADY IN POSSESSION OF THE MONEY.

Depression Does Not Have To Be A Life Sentence

June 22, 2008 by Susan Denny

When you’ve suffered from a serious illness, or you’ve injured yourself playing sport, or you’ve lost a loved one, it’s sometimes very hard to pick yourself up and get on with life. Having suffered from a debilitating illness myself, I know just how hard it is to rebuild your self confidence. I began to think that I was never going to get better and couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel. Because it took so long to get over my illness, I ended up in a state of depression. Rebuilding my confidence once the depression had lifted was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. It took a lot of time and patience, but I did it and I felt well again. What happens with depression is that certain events can trigger another bout, and that’s exactly what happened to me when my Mum died from cancer not long after I’d recovered. Once again I had to rely on my inner strength to get me through, and I knew that I’d built up my self confidence the first time so it should be easier this time…right? Wrong! The death of my Mother had a terrible impact on me and made me think of my own mortality, which is a terrible thing when you’re suffering from depression. With a lot of support from my loving husband and family, I was able to get my life back on track and haven’t suffered another bout of depression since, and that was 7 years ago. I am a very strong person today and I am "brimming" with self confidence, so I am proof that you can come back from the depths of despair to live a life full of happiness and contentment.

Nik Halik - Australian “Thrillionaire”

“If you aim at nothing, then you will have amazing accuracy,” he says with a sincerity that immediately grabs attention.

Nik Halik is not your average Aussie millionaire.

Nik Halik is the Founder and CEO of Financial Freedom Institute (FFI), Money Masters Global and co-founder of The Intelligence Group of companies. He is a Global Wealth Strategist, Successful Entrepreneur, and International Speaker. Nik Halik became a multi-millionaire and amassed great wealth through savvy investments in Property and the Stock Market in his late 20’s. His group of companies have financially educated and life coached over 200,000 individuals globally.

But he’s achieved so much more! He’s also an Astronaut, High Adrenalin Adventurer and Best Selling Author.

Among his various expeditions, he was one of the first Australians to dive down five miles and land on the bow of the Titanic. He has summited the highest mountains in the world and was one of the privileged select explorers in the world to view the curvature of the earth from the edge of space. He is the very first flight-qualified and certified civilian astronaut from Australia and is also set to become the first ever Australian and private space explorer to rocket to outer space and temporarily reside on Earth’s only manned outpost in orbit, the International Space Station.

AS A child growing up in Melbourne’s Airport West, Nik Halik read Herge’s “Destination Moon” and dreamed of walking on the moon, just like Tintin. He won’t land on the moon but he will come close to achieving that dream by spending $3 million.

He has been selected as the back-up for the next commercial flight to the Russian International Space Station, run by the world’s first space airline, Space Adventures.

“I have already been to the edge of space, 20 miles (32 kilometres) from the surface of the earth,” he said. “Now we are talking about 250 miles from the earth.”

If billionaire computer game developer Richard Garriott fails his tests to get on board, Nik Halik said he would take over. Mr Garriott is paying $30 million to head up the mission to the space station in October 2008. Being back-up also put him in a good position to lead the next flight in 2009

“My primary goal is to walk on the surface of the moon,” Mr Halik said. “The International Space Station is close enough for the time being.”

I bet he will do it too. He isn’t called “thrillionaire” for nothing!
